Before working online, I worked with the Nation’s largest research project on marital success.
In a short period of 2.5 years, I counseled over 300 married couples and helped facilitate classes that were funded by the United States Government and backed by research at the University of Washington as well as The Gottman Institute.
Once my career as a Couple’s Coach through Loving Families came to a close, I was at a loss.
I was just 28 years old and had helped over 300 low-income families find greater peace, increased marital happiness as well access to improved healthcare, Medicare, and other life-saving services.
Unsure of what to do – I decided to try my hand at being an entrepreneur. I failed miserably but gained some valuable wisdom.
Revived, I set my mind to become greater.
I became a Senior Director for a local non-profit that house and sheltered homeless women. The job helped me excel immensely. My work consisted of working with government officials, churches, hundreds of homeless families and women, orchestrating a healthy workflow for 30+ staff and three homeless shelters. Along with my directorial duties, I also held the responsibility of tracking and helping assure that our million dollars plus budget for protecting and housing families were up to par and met the standards dictated by our database of donors.
My work eventually led me to dream bigger.
A busy life of 60+ hours working each week, being on call 24/7, and helping some of the neediest people on the planet – led me to desire more. I felt antsy and wondered, “What if one day I could become one of the donors and board members?” I could make a bigger impact, and I could cut down my work hours and have more time with family.
Since that day, I’ve set out to do just that. The internet has become new expertise. It’s allowed me to travel, donate more money and time, and combine all of my unique skills to help companies thrive.
